With a 2-0 victory over ownage in the final of the North American Closed Qualifier, Misfits have become the second confirmed team at DreamHack Open Atlanta.
The last stage of the closed bracket pitted Misfits, who had moved past CLG Academy and Miami Flamingos, against Erik "fl0m" Flom's ownage, who had surprisingly defeated CLG and paiN after qualifying from the open bracket.
The series began on Cache, ownage's map pick, where Sean "seang@res" Gares' men ran out 16-6 victors. On Mirage, Misfits had to work hard to overcome their opponents, eventually securing the victory in the last round to book their spot in the Atlanta competition.
